lately, more and more country around the globe has brought in the no-smoking laws to their city, to which travelers can no longer smoke in public area, and most, even inside the hotel room.
last few days, i celebrated new year in Jakarta and found out that all hotel rooms in the whole city is now a smoke-free zone. whoever caught smoking even in the bathroom, will be fined RP1mil, that’s about USD100. and when I came back, i got to know that Spain is taking the same action. Spain now bans smoking in all public area e.g. bar and restaurant.
I Googled to find out more about the news, just to know that even more major city enforcing the law of no-smoking.
the good news is, well obviously smoking is a bad habit, and those non-smokers hated to be secondary smokers day-in day-out, so now they no longer suffer from bad smells and rotten lung.
many hotel guests would requested for a non-smoking room to avoid bad smells.
to smokers, try to find a way to quit smoking. i see heavy smokers suffers from this law, cant stand a minute without a puff of cigarette. therefore being in a smoking-free area definitely not a good idea. quit.
