wow i have left this blog deserted for quite sometime! perhaps it’s time to blog again yeah?
sadly, i do not own a dslr camera anymore therefore i hope you dont mind seeing my humble photo(s) taken using my common camera phone :P yeah kick me, and wait till i get a new camera, but not very soon :(
anyway recently i’ve been in Dubai, that’s UAE if you dont already know. it’s a huge place indeed, a place where sky scrappers grows like a mushroom after a rainy days. interestingly, for having a huge area, Dubai managed to plan their city very well (at least to me). let’s forget about their too-huge-to-mention debts alright?
jump to read more!
i was amazed looking at the city plan from up in the sky (that’s from plane yah!). and when travelling around the city, i was then again amazed with the building structures.
i took a chance visiting Dubai Mall, the one located next to the tallest tower, then i thought to myself that everything they have in Dubai is super huge. 3 times i went there, not once i completely traveled the whole mall floor. to huge to be true.
one interesting event, i visited a pushcart in the mall to checkout on iPhone pricing, i’ve done a little survey previously in the city nearby Dubai. i was not happy with the price they sell here, about RM300 more expensive than outside. then i asked the seller why with the price and the answer was “of course, this is Dubai Mall!” lol not only building are huge, price are bigger too
i was in Dubai for job purpose, so my hotel stay are basically taken care of. so i do not know what was the room rate. on my 3rd visit, then i noticed that the room rate was near to 2k in Malaysian Ringgit. that’s per nite, and for one. additional 1 person in a room are subject to extra charges of RM100.
if i am to travel to Dubai on my own budget, i’ll go to backpackers hotel.
i dont have much photo this time, because i was thinking phone camera sucks big time, but when i think again, why not use it, if that’s the only camera i have?
more about Dubai, although it’s a city of rich, however it’s quite known as a shopping paradise. seriously.
if in Malaysia we have Petaling street, that’s just one whole street, but in Dubai, it’s everywhere. you can even buy in bulk and even much more cheaper than here. i was thinking of buying a lot of stuff and open a table at any night market and make some money too, but then again, nah i do not have time for that :P
i’ll write more about Dubai the next time :)
