just came back from Phuket, my first ever trip to outside country, and what a lovely experience to be in Phuket! stayed in Patong, I’m lucky to have checked in as early as 9am, and by the early evening, received a complementary 2000 bhat voucher for shopping! the holiday was the best i have ever experienced
from my eyes, Patong is just a small area, but you can find thousands of tourist there. hotels and taxi everywhere, but for a better and cheaper price, do book online. nevertheless, backpackers can still find more hotels which offer not-so-bad facility from as low as RM30 (or cheaper, if you can find or bargain)

almost everything for sale or rent there, is possible for bargain, that include tour package, taxi, car/scooter rent, clothes and more. I even thought that I was stupid to have shop some clothes before getting there, because the price for the same stuff after bargain in Patong is much much and much cheaper. if know how to bargain, you’ll be lucky to shop more at a much cheaper price. I got my island tour package at RM100, while my friend got it at RM120
halal food is rare in Phuket but you can still find them. arab restaurant is almost everywhere, however dont be shocked if you found that they serve beers too. I guess beer is part of the main business in Patong, it’s everywhere and cheap. I had my lunch and dinner at 2 muslim restaurant, not an exclusive one but similar to any warong here in Malaysia. they even serve teh tarik!
